Zanaki Seeds is a seed brand dedicated to the promotion, research, and preservation of African genetic heritage.

We were founded with a clear vision: to draw attention to African genetics, their origins, and the stories that have accompanied them through generations.

Africa holds an extraordinary genetic diversity and a long history intertwined with cannabis. For too long, a significant part of this heritage has remained on the fringes of the international narrative.Zanaki was created to help shift this perspective.

To us, a genetic strain is not merely a product.It is the result of the interplay between territory, climate, biodiversity, culture, and generations of selection.

That is why Zanaki bridges the world of seed genetics with the realms of research, documentation, and culture.Through our work, we aim to explore various regions across Africa, delve deeper into their genetics, and gradually build an ever-expanding body of knowledge regarding the heritage they represent.

Our research and editorial project, the African Landrace Library, was born from this very need: to create an archive dedicated to African genetics and the historical, geographical, and cultural context in which they evolved.
